This has caused a lot of confusion for residents who rely on Free-to-Air channels for news, sport, and entertainment.

Why Is Opticomm Cutting Off Free-to-Air TV?
Opticomm has confirmed that, in certain service areas, FTA TV services delivered via their fibre cabling are being phased out. In most estates, the shutdown will happen on one of two possible cutoff dates. After these dates, your TV will no longer receive channels through the existing fibre connection.
What Does This Mean for Residents?
If you currently watch TV using the Opticomm fibre connection from your street (most of the time, using a small Kingray Fibre TV receiver to convert the fibre signals to RF/coaxial), your channels will stop working once Opticomm’s cutoff occurs.
To continue watching your favourite live FTA TV programs, you will need a separate antenna solution installed at your property or building.
